This tiny sandwich shop, nestled along the intimate nook of Bedford St in the West Village, is bound to please Mario Batali fans in search of something a little less intense than say...The Spotted Pig on a Friday night...during Fashion Week. And here, at his casually romantic outpost, lovers enjoy Southern Italian cafe favorites like speck and ruccola panini and tramazzini con tonno (tuna salad on delicate white bread). There's also a selection of yummy salads, cheeses, and cured olives to go with a full-bodied glass of Sangiovese, making Ino an ideal place for grade A snacking that wont break the bank. It's a nice break from what we've come to expect from some of Batali's more glamorous restaurants, but the fare is just as satisfying as any five-course tasting at Babbo.
