The only remotely "peasant" aspect of this restaurant is the simplicity of its ingredients. Chef/Owner Frank De Carlo decided to forgo fancy cuisine in an effort to prove the strength of fresh and carefully prepared food. The restaurant's main feature is its large brick pizza oven, which churns out, not only deliciously thin crust pies, but also an assortment of grilled eggplant, wood-fired rabbit and guinea hen, many of which are served in hot terracotta pots. The waiters are absolutely charming and if the meal is not enough to keep you satisfied, maybe one of these handsome gents is...Guests are seated at large oak tables against a backdrop of white-washed brick walls, and though tables are separate, there is a distinct communal feel to this restaurant. Trendy and hip, this place is perfect for a laid-back night out with the boy toy or a relaxing evening with the gals. And who knows, if you're lucky maybe your waiter will deliver more than what you paid for?
