Let’s be honest, insanity ensues when it’s time to hit the road. All the built up excitement combined with the drama of getting all your stuff in order can lead to utter chaos and God forbid, forgetting to pack those necessities like, your ever trusty birth control. Can we alleviate the stress? Of course — just breeze through “Know Before You Go,” and like a Xanax, your worries will disappear.

  • Bring enough of all your pharmaceuticals
  • Chargers: ipod, camera, mobile, computer
  • Going abroad? Converters
  • Give your keys to your doorman
  • Double-check your packing list
  • Bring a snack – airplane food always sucks!
  • TIVO your fave shows
  • Charge your iPod, and don’t forget your headphones
  • Bring Zip Lock bags for carry-on liquids (3 ounces maximum)
  • Mani, Pedi, Brazilian
  • Remember to turn off all electricity in your house/apartment.
  • Set your house alarm.
  • Take care of your pets!
  • Going to the beach? Put sunscreen in your checked baggage
  • Make a photocopy of your airline ticket—better safe than sorry!
 
  • Take out the trash!
  • Bring one dollar bills for tips.
  • Pick out a comfy outfit…and cute, of course - Airplanes are cold; bring a hoodie and socks for the trip
  • Double check your bags, more specifically your carry-on, for tweezers, scissors, and liquids
  • Make sure that your carry-on isn’t bigger than 14in x 9in x 29in. Contact your airline for specifics

  • Cameras:
  • If you haven’t gone digital, don’t put film in suitcase because the screening process will ruin it.
  • Digital: Bring your camera charger and an extra memory card.
  • Advil? Airplanes always give me headaches…
  • Make sure all valuables are on your person
  • Bring your frequent flier info
