One of Hemingway’s favorites, we suggest this watering hole for lunch or for a mid-day refreshing daiquiri to cool you off. The front room is a dimly lit bar, where tourists and locals unwind to music provided by the three-piece Cuban band. The dining area consists of 10 tables and serves some of the most notable seafood dishes in Havana. The atmosphere is peaceful and the décor is epic. A large mural from the 1930s, illustrating the city harbor in the 18th Century, covers the wall. Try their specialty dishes- Rueda de Pargo Ambos Mundos (snapper steak), the Gran Plato Hemingway (Hemingway Big Plate) and Langosta Mariposa (Butterfly Lobster).

Hemingway favored and frequented La Bodeguita, famous for its out-of-this-world traditional Cuban dishes. The Mojitos are mouth-watering, and the décor is unique. La Bodeguita del Medio is a tiny restaurant that opened in 1942, and world-class VIPS helped it solidify its reputation as the ultimate bohemian depot. Try the Ropa Vieja and Arroz Blanco y Frijoles Negros. And before you finish, remember to leave your mark- guests are invited to write or carve their names – try to find the Travelingals insignia!
